The LSU women’s basketball team clinched the national championship on Sunday, triumphing over Iowa with a score of 102-85.
In the final moments of the game, Tigers star Angel Reese made it clear to Iowa standout Caitlin Clark what the outcome would be. Reese mockingly taunted Clark multiple times and pointed to her ring finger, signaling her imminent title win.
Reese also mimicked Clark’s own “You Can’t See Me” celebration, a gesture Clark had used during a previous game.
While some fans appreciated Reese’s actions, many took to Twitter to express their disapproval, labeling it as disrespectful. Among the critics was former ESPN host Keith Olbermann, who sparked controversy by calling Reese a “fucking idiot.”
Shaquille O’Neal was quick to defend Reese, responding sharply to Olbermann’s remarks. “Shut your dumb ass up, leave Angel Reese alone,” O’Neal retorted.
